Companies are constantly striving to invent products that look and work the same way, but they do something better for everyone that uses them. Whether its certain ingredients in foods, or a bicycle that runs on battery power, someone will buy it. When people need various products to make their lives easier, it’s guaranteed a company will be ready to produce it. This is the way it is with a mayonnaise product newly created by a company called Hampton Creek.

The product went through the fire, so to speak, and the company was almost sued for advertising that their Just Mayo didn’t contain eggs. According to the standards set forth in a mayonnaise recipe, it’s supposed to contain at least one egg. This company created their own recipe using powder from a yellow split pea that took the place of the eggs in the recipe.

One of the first stores to market this ingenious product was Whole Foods, and then it spread to stores such as Kroger, Walmart and Target. It won’t be long till the product will be sold in every store in North America. The mayonnaise is available in different flavors, including garlic, sriracha and chipotle.

When customers can’t get out to local stores, the company will soon have a website made where they can conveniently order online. With 500 products in the making, customers will be able to order everything from the cookie dough, to the pancake mixes.

The goal of the Hampton Creek company is to create healthier foods without a huge amount of sodium, fat and cholesterol. They’re also involved in saving the Earth’s people and environment. When they create a product that doesn’t incorporate eggs in the recipe, they’re saying that chickens didn’t have to be fed, given water or taken care of in order to get the eggs, that they didn’t need in their new product.

This is just one of the ways they’re saving the environment. The mayonnaise product does contain 90 calories, which accounts for 90 calories of fat, but it doesn’t contain a terrific amount of sodium and has 0 cholesterol in it. The products are available in local grocery stores. Read the label and decide which product is the best one to try out first. It’ll most likely be the mayonnaise.
